Rear Ventilation

Just out of interest, what do you call hot weather?

Ah .... In England just about anytime when the sun comes out is classified as hot! I guess when it's 25c or above outside some cooling / air in the back is needed. I imagine it would be insufferable in Aus in the back of an Evoque if you didn't have some air circulation? Either that or the windows open most of the time.

25? Don't know how you folks do it in old blighty!

and without sarcasm, i honestly don't know how you folks do it down under.

What is the tipping point in MA!

I'm from NSW and on the Coast which does not get as hot as other parts of Aus but 25 degrees is a perfect day to be outside not too hot or cold. Once it cracks 30 degrees it starts getting warm and 6-10 times a year we get into the 40's and that's hot. Up north mid to late 30's is common place most of the year.

The Solar attenuating glass works fantastically well and all cars in Aus come standard. Can't believe though that rear vents are still an option here... I bought and are very useful. A good window tint and the Evoque handles the heat extremely well.

it comes down to humidity for a lot of folks. 30 and dry is gorgeous. but 25 and humid i'd consider hitting the AC.

Its a cool day here in Dubai, 34c.................. last week in Pakistan when I was there was 45c in Karachi - a cooler day by their standards as it has been up to 47 recently!
Last night in Dubai it was like walking out into a live fire drill at 9pm and also very very humid.

So you can all stop whinging about how hot it is in the UK!

The car roof and bonnet ( I have the use of a white Toyota Hilux with no working AC here) is so hot that you burn if you touch it and there are an amazing number of black cars out here these days. The South West Monsoon is supposed to have brought rain to Pakistan but nothing so far this year. 4 years ago I was in Mumbai on the day the monsoon broke and there was 1400mm of rain fell in 24 hours and not much flooding as they are geared up for little deluges like that!

I know! I run my ac all the time and set to 21. No problem in the front. Just surprised with the lack of standard airflow and ventilation in the back and reckon it gets uncomfortable and stuffy in the back when the outside temp gets to 25 or above.....not that I'm planning to go in there!

PS I've fried an egg on a white hilux bonnet .... Bacon wasn't too crispy though.
