Radio cutting out

When my car's first service was done the dealership receptionist phoned and asked where I had left the service book too, hopefully now that the oldest Evoques are passed their 2nd service dealership staff have now found out where LR hide the service book!

You would expect Service departments to at least know where LR expect you to put your Service book! As you say Tim a year on... surely they must know by now.

Trouble is this sort of comical incompetence, starts to throws doubts about whether they understand the importance of getting the right oil Spec not to clog your DPF or be able to diagnose faults etc.

There is a new Technical Bulletin on TOPIx that indicates a proper fix had been released in firmware with the latest SDD DVD.

I have attached the pdf of the LTB for info - my dealer claimed there still wasn't a fix when I phoned this afternoon - I pointed them at TOPIx but got the usual "... well, it might not be the fix but just info" - yeah, whatever - as the saying goes. But I insisted mine was booked in for next week.

Perhaps good news? If anyone gets the fix done, let us know.

Well spotted Trapdoor! I've booked mine in for 8am tomorrow - I'll see how it goes over the weekend and post on here on Monday.

Mine is in for it's first service today. Do we know what software version the fix is? I'll take a copy of the pdf with me and see if they are aware of it yet.

Took mine in on saturday morning - it takes approx 40mins for the download, although the computer froze half way through and they had to start again. It appears to have worked as I have not had any cut out since.

Ange, apart from stopping the DAB cutting in and out, do you have TV reception as well?

I may have the solution.

I have unplugged my ipod from the 'ipod' marked USB port and plugged into into the basic USB port in the armrest..since then it hasn't cut out or crackled even once...

Anyone else tried this ??

my dealer knows of the fix but does not have the software yet. apparently they were emailed about it on Friday.
