Sorry to hear that - are you at LPR? Please do report it to the dealer and send them a photo so they can raise it with LR and hopefully the critical mass will heighten their attention to this issue.

I saw a parked 62 plate Fuji Prestige and it had the issue too.

Heard back from my dealer and unfortunately they've just advised me to take it into my local dealer to have a look. Not unreasonable in itself, but I was rather hoping they would raise the issue with Land Rover CS on my behalf.

If you PM me I can give you the details of the chap at LR CS who is dealing with mine and you can contact him directly. I can also give you my name to give him so you can tell him its the same issue.

To all those awaiting delivery and worrying about this, please try not to. There may be some worse than others but the ones I have seen (mine and two other 5 dr 2013 MY's at the dealers) are not so bad. It took me a while to even demonstrate to them what I was complaining about.

The chap did mention about replacing the panel to resolve it and I would have to agree with his opinion that that would be ridiculous. Nevertheless, they did take some photo's and maybe LR will suggest some easier way way of sorting it - but even if there is no solution, at the very least, we all need to be pointing out that this is not good enough.

They are fixing my other (paint) flaw next week.

I agree that this is not the end of the world however this type of flaw is unacceptable on a £10k car let alone a £40k one and LR need to step up and sort this out.

I have no idea at this point what the proposed solution will be. I'll keep you all posted on here.

I would suggest that you don't let your dealers just send the car to their body shop to be repaired at least until we've heard back from LR.

Production problem - check your Evoque!

Replacing a rear quarter will make a bigger mess and degrade resale big time. It will be obvious the quarter has been replaced

If that is the only solution I will have no choice but to reject the car as there is no way I'd accept such a drastic repair on a brand new car.

Are you happy to settle for some sort of compensation? If repair is not sitting well with you would you be prepared to wait for another car? 1 month? 3 months?

I'm keeping an open mind at this point but I have no issue with waiting for another car if necessary as long as LR continue to provide me with a car in the interim.

RE: Production problem - check your Evoque!

I called LR CS for an update today as I hadn't heard anything in almost a week. I was told there was lots going on in the background but nothing definitive back from Halewood or engineering. They said that multiple reports of this would help engineering.

Could anyone here who has found this flaw in their car please send me by PM either your VIN or reg so I can pass on to LR CS as they still don't seem to appreciate that this is appears to affect most if not all 5 doors built in October and probably November! Or if you'd prefer I can give you the LR CS details so you can give them your details directly.

I've told them that I'm not going to accept the car until engineering advise how it needs to be repaired and will not accept a cosmetic repair done by the dealers bodyshop.

Unfortunately this looks like its going to drag on...
