Contacted dealer yesterday as I want to order a car for delivery February 2013 (to collect in London for personal export to France) and was advised to wait until September before starting the order process otherwise the car would be collecting dust for several months before collection.

If you wait until September to order you may not get teh car for another 10 months after that, or worse if the orders keep coming in. If you can trust your dealer, I would order it now and ask them to just back it up the order list as new cars are ordered until the Febuary car slots are available.

Bill, my export car took less than 2 months to come through and yes, it's been sat at the dealers for the last six weeks because I can't be bothered to collect it

In Spain, if you order your Evoque now, you get it in July 2012. Not a big wait. Normal waiting time, if things don´t change is about 3 months.

80% of production is for export which implies more LHD cars will fall off the end of the production line than those destined for RHD markets. These order now as it will arrive at the dealers in January 2013 calls are generally for UK spec cars. LR must be very very pleased to have an order book of mainly pre-sold cars and there must be some makers out there desperate to have the same situation in their factories and storage fields round the world.

Anyone wanna buy an LR from my house today - I appear to have a collection!

   

But the only one in demand is the Evoque CJ, the rest are nearly worthless!
The D3 looks like the tailpipes have been modified to end in Evoque Dynamic exits!
