Evoque Sold Out until 2013

Land Rover has announced that high demand worldwide for the Range Rover Evoque, its award-winning new model, has meant that it is now sold out for the remainder of 2012.

Interesting, so in fact it's no longer a 6 month lead time (as stated by the recent orders/members on here), but more like an 8-9 month

I smell corporate BS, my local dealer has 10 coming in Jun/Jul which are a available to spec. As I've said many times before on here, LHD delivery times are 2-3 months.

LR are spinning the story hoping to shift some of the 100+ used RRE's that they have in (UK) stock (56 in stock in Sweden).

^^ yeah, with hindsight, I agree!

It's all about exceeding people's delivery expectations. "Yes sir, it's in highly sort after model with high demand, delivery is 9-12 months. They can't build enough of them, could I interest you a demo model?" 3-4 months later "when would sir like to collect".

Looking good for used values though!

Just spoke to my dealership and they are still taking orders for October delivery.

I'm sure it must be some Journalistic interpretation of the "Orders are strong and are likely to continue into 2013", or some-such statement.
