Should be fine if same as this fault, a simple sensor change and all should be fine again.

Sorry if I seem dim but, how does a rear wheel speed sensor make the steering heavy ? Thanks.

I got my evoque sorted and it was actually the sensor on the left wheel @ the front.for some strange reason tho it was comming up on the diagnostic saying wheel bearings and the actually change the bearings an gave me bk the car an after driving it for a day the problem comes back. When i bring it bk the diagnostic was still saying wheel bearing but the knew it cudnt have been bcus they jus change it so they check the sensor and it was actually the sensor.

Thanks for getting back Queenb, same sensor failure as Werdgears, which is good to know if others get this array of faults.

Whilst it can be possible to detect wheel bearing failure from the sensors, i'd have thought a physical check would have ruled that out quite quickly. Possible the Diagnostic tool did not match the Evoque correctly, as it should easily detect a wheel speed sensor failure, much harder to determine a bearing failure accurately.

Rite @philskill i would have thought they would have check the bearings before ordering the new one. The plc i took it to is a landrover specialist but am happy its sorted but i would have thought it would be cheaper to replace a sensor than a bearings but oh well if the problem is gone am jus happy .they did not charge me to do the sensor tho as they realise its there fault.

I've the same problem, no difference after changing battery. Took it to LR garage, they said it's the rear wheel ABS sensor. changing it tomorrow. Paying for diagnostic and replacement of ABS sensor - damage? around £550.
