Yep, not cheap! Just hope the insurers don't mess us about as the quote is from LandRover Liverpool as I only want a dealer to do the work or their approved bodyshop!

RE: Part Ex

MACS, you are right to insist on an LR dealership or LR approved workshop carrying out the repairs as not doing so will invalidate your anti-corrosion warranty. I believe that the discount insurers and many of their customers don't realise this condition of many makers' warranties. I've been a client of Land Rover Insurance through it's various incarnations for more than 10 years now and find their quotes to be very competitive and they claim that they will always send your car to an approved Land Rover workshop for repairs. These days Land Rover IInsurance isn't a part of the company like it was when I started with them after Direct Line refused to insure my first Discovery back in 1996.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Bad luck Themacs hope repairs go well.

Dealer never phone me back with a Part-Ex price for mine... Rolling Eyes I guess they're still not interested in chasing sales.

Still, another dealer will be giving me a drive in a 9 Speed in January when they have a demo version available.

RE: Part Ex

I accepted £31500 for mine which was the best offer I was made. Webuyanycar quoted £30000 for it. It cost me £48k in Sept 2011 and 23310 miles earlier. I see it is now on HGG's website listed at £35950. A good buy for somebody looking for a Fuji Coupe with all the trimmings as well as the LR tow pack and LR roof rails.

Over £8k a year depreciation, not cheap motoring!

£1.41 each mile + fuel, tax and insurance at approx £4300!

That's £1.59 a mile... Oh and I didnt include 2 services...

Total cost... £1.62 a mile!

At least it comes with with one careful owner, well except for a little tailgate incident Wink

Nobody said Range Rover ownership was a cheap business!
