Painting black plastic trim in body colour on a Prestige Evoque

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if this is something the dealers can do, I'd like to get the front and rear bumpers of my prestige Evoque painted in body colour. My car is due to be built on the 9th of November. I've chosen Santorini black and want the lower parts of the bumpers to be colour coded, similar to a Dynamic.

Can I request my dealer to do this prior to delivery?

Thanks

Or you could buy a Dynamic rear bumper............

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

If you get it painted make sure the valeter hasn't sprayed it with silicone spray as that will be a nightmare.

Rxa, any reason why you have DTM on your license plate?

Somewhere in the North Sea.

Don't think that is their car (as it isn't being built until November)

Pure 3dr SD4 Tech Man ; Firenze Red ; 19" Style 3 ; Pano ; Ebony / Ivory Int ; Auto dim rear view ; 2 seats ; Park Aid - Rear cam ; Ext. folding mirrors ; Adap Xenon ; Fogs ; Mud Flaps ; Side Steps - Rec'd 28/12/11 - Sadly going 6/6/14 - Gone, now running BMW X6

It's also a New Jersey plate.

Not my car! Just wanted to show an example of the area which I want painted in body colour. Still in two minds if I should do it or not. I could get a dynamic rear bumper but dont really want to mess around with a new car straight away.

I might up ring up and ask a couple of body shops how much it'll cost. Does anyone know of any good body shops in Central, NW London?

Thanks

I got mine colour coded, sides, front and back bumper as hated the grey plastic parts! Looks cheap..plastic primer was used and paid £500 for my work.

I've just bought the dynamic sides from Duckworth Parts - £50 each side for the 5 door.

Only primed so will need spraying, but a local body shop has quoted me £300 to spray and fit the sides, front and rear bumpers.

For me personally, that lower trim will make a huge difference - I was always incredibly torn between prestige interior and dynamic exterior.

Ordered 25/6/12, Delivery: 06/03/13
Prestige SD4 in Orkney Grey with Element Interior + Ebony Rooflining, Santorini Roof, 20" Style 6 and a few toys.
