RE: Oil Colour

No, the only time any needed topping up was when they were brand new and the high carbon content absorbs some oil. After 8600 miles my Evoque currently has used 1/4 of a dipstick of oil since delivery and since November it hasn't changed, but I still carry a top up pack in the boot just in case!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Oil Colour

Blimey, I haven't even opened the bonnet yet, quite strange really as that is one of the first things I usually do when I get another car.

Might have a look tomorrow.

The manual shows a proper dipstick, and for the oil see this thread:

RE: Oil Colour

OK, I lifted the bonnet at the weekend. Just over 400 miles on the clock, withdrew the physical oil dipstick and the oil was still a golden colour.
