Official: Convertible will be launched on Monday Nov 9 2015!!

Hi there!,
I just got a teaser email from our local importer (I live in Italy), advising that the new Evoque Convertible launch has been officially set on next Monday, Novembre 9th 2015!!

According to today's sunday Times Driving Section it will be launched at the Los angeles Motor Show this week. The figures that they have given are for the 2.0lt Petrol but they don't say if it is the Ford engine or the Ingenium Petrol.

You can also build it on the UK configurator. I specced up an HSE Dynamic Lux to £61,000 but it seems to be missing a lot of the options available for the "hard top" cars, no Incontrol remote/Secure, most of the techy options like Road Sign Recognition etc missing, unless they are part of the Lux kit. I suppose it is only the Mk1 version of the configurator and it will get updated when we point out what is missing to the iT boys and girls at LR!

They may have had to ditch some items as they were in or close to the roof, to get the convertible roof in, bound to be some compromise.

I was beginning to think they never show it with the Roof up... finally that last video showed it properly.

All that stuff is on the configurator - I was somewhat reserved, but it still came to 57k Sad

One to sleep on, as I really like it, but it's 10k more than I'd have liked (expected).
