OVRM open and fold out of sync
I bought a RR evoque a couple of weeks back and i noticed that both the side mirrors do not open or fold in sync with each other as in, the passanger side mirror opens or folds first and then the driver side's ovrm.has anybody noticed the same with their evoque?

RE: OVRM open and fold out of sync
Mine fold out at the same time, as do the others I've driven as courtesy cars.

Mods - Black RR bonnet vents, Side steps, Silicone rear wiper, rear sill protector, rear sill plates, LED interior lighting conversion, 2014 Sat Nav update.

RE: OVRM open and fold out of sync
If one of them has been forced to fold by something hitting it then they can get out of synch - IIRC there is a procedure in the owner's manual and it has been discussed on the forum before.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: OVRM open and fold out of sync
We have a member on the forum who works for Land Rover Customer Services and can answer (or direct to the right technical people) queries. He has his own section of the forum and if you have more than 5 posts you can PM him through the Forum system or you can contac t LRCS direct by email. I no longer have an Evoque so cannot look in the owner's manual for you but have looked at the on line manual and don't see anything specific to out of synch mirrors but it does say that after being knocked the head can become disengaged from the motor and that the knocked mirror should be manually folded and opened using the button to get it re-engaged. If this doesn't work then I suggest you contact member Pete@LandRover for advice - you may have to take the car into your nearest dealership to get it fixed.

RE: OVRM open and fold out of sync
Can't find anything in the Owners Manual, once one of mine didn't open because of Ice, but next time I closed and re-opened it reattached itself and opened normally,
If you press the LH and RH mirror selector buttons together for 5 seconds, it should retract the mirrors together, they always go together for me, I can only imagine there is some mechanical mis-alignment to make them move independently, Not sure if these are on the CAN bus but if that wasn't working I'd expect you'd have many other issues too.
Certainly doesn't sound quite right!

RE: OVRM open and fold out of sync
Its just a diffrence on a few fractions of a second in the sync of both of them.they start to fold or open simultaniously but passenger side finishes first just fractionally before the driver side's.my car is just few weeks old and did not hit anything on the ovrm.
