RE: My Fuji Dynamic SD4 Manual

Any reason why you run 18's in the summer and 19's in the winter, usually it's the other way around!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: My Fuji Dynamic SD4 Manual

Sorry the order may have been misleading, Style 4 (19"), 5 (19"), 6 (20"). Style 4 for Winter, easy to clean!

The Style 5's look small, because of the dark painted inner surface

I'm not sure whether to sell my 19's with Pirelli Ice and Snow tyres on - I didn't fit them last winter as I was away and it looks like this winter will be the same..............

Well they'll still fit the new one so you can still use them, but i guess you're not getting much use out of them.

In for Second service today, plus a list of Warranty Items, including Rear tail gate rust, water trap, loose trim, spring fom rear seat, front passenger door card rattle, and corroding wheel hub caps.

Have a new FL2 in Firenze Red courtesy car, which is definitely a step down from the feel of the Evoque, but a step up from the last Freelander I had, and it drives ok too, easy driving and soft suspension, much less sporty obviously, much better over speed humps though... Exactly the same MPG though in the driving so far.

RE: My Fuji Dynamic SD4 Manual

So 2nd service done, came in cheaper than the origional quote, but still £420, No rust found, trims were removed and cleaned all around but no sign of anything rusting... Seems the Passenger Door rattle they have located as the "Headlining circuit board rattle", so it's going back to have the headlining removed and the circuit board position adjusted, they've done a few of these now. Seat squeak fixed, and corroding hub cab replaced.

MPG of the Freelander ended up at 33mpg, so Worse than my Evoque but it was an Auto.

Of course I couldn't resist popping into the Sales part and Enquiring about the MY14, which even the sales guys say is LR's best kept secret, they had no brochures, info to give etc, But for me with 5 years free servicing package, worth seeing what it would cost to upgrade!

They said it could be available for a Feb delivery although should wait til March obviously, and test drives should be avilable in Jan!

Tell them they should hang out here, at least they will get SOME information scraps! LR is going to be the death of me, I find it SO hard to be patient waiting for complete MY14 details. Smile

RE: My Fuji Dynamic SD4 Manual

They should have all the info, just no brochures but these days generally you only get brochures direct from LR after filling in an inquiry online. Dealers all have the full 2014 Spec on a huge Excel workbook and they also have the 2014 RRE Product Guide that was posted on Topix for a while and linked to from here. My car should have gone into build last night but due to a couple of the options I've specced it's unlike to build now until February

Winter wheels protected with Definitive Wax's Rotundus Glaze, to top up the gTechniq C5 coating applied 2 years ago.

Now has a new centre cap after the previous one corroded, replaced at the service under warranty.

RE: My Fuji Dynamic SD4 Manual

Its gone back in to have 2 more rattles sorted, the one in the headlining and the loose plastic trim in the tail gate guttering recess.

On the way to/from the dealers I saw 11 Evoques, not including staff cars arriving... ! My first proper view of a Mauritius too, and saw at the dealers (no MY14) a sicilian yellow top.

In comparison in the same journey the others cars I have Volvo C30 I saw 2, and Mazda 6 I saw about 5 (im not exactly counting these), so you get an idea how many Evoques there are here now as the Mazda is not an uncommon car.
