RE: My Evoque.......................

It was taken off road on a particularly wet Sunday a week ago Mark so that will account for some of it. Here is a photo of the underside. It's pretty well encapsulated/ flush panelled underneath

Tim,
Got a question for you.
The power fold mirrors, folding when the car is locked/unlocked.
Was this presett from the factory, or did Lookers set this up for you?
I read someware that it's a dealer setting. If so, are there any other setting only a dealer can set up we should now about.

Thank you....

The manual said that this function was a option "set by the dealer" if needed.

RE: My Evoque.......................

I asked Lookers to enable all the dealer enablable (is there such a word!) options and was told that it is their policy to make them all active BUT I know that other outlets see dealer enabled gizmos as a revenue stream and charge £100 for the privilege and of course they want your car for a day to plug it into their PC.

The other things that are dealer enabled are variable intermittent wipe for the rear wiper and there is something else I cannot remember off hand. My car has the auto-park fold mirror option enable and I noticed that the 5 Door Fuji Prestige that I parked next to at Teebay services this afternoon and sold by Lakeland Land Rover also had the park fold enabled

RE: My Evoque.......................

Because some dealers have found they can make more money from clients who don't read their owner's manuals and only find out later that there are dealer enabled options. If you have access to the right equipment/ software then you can set them up yourself using some diagnostic systems. Pete Bell would know better than me which but then you will pay a lot for a plug in device - probably more than you would pay a dealer for the labour to do it.
