well...just walked in home to an email from the dealer...they have received the car and it wasn't expected till 30 Oct was the latest date....!

Sounds like there is total confusion somewhere between Halewood, Gaydon Central Depot and the dealerships.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Good news though??? I can only hope that would happen to me? Hope the transports moving onto Bradford without them knowing?

Token, I get what youre saying regarding how configurable the vehicle is and that its new territory for Land Rover, and would agree with you if one trim level was being delayed due to a specific trim part (i.e dynamic sills), but xenons are standard on two of the three trim levels. Id be slightly more forgiving if it was a supplier issue rather than LR not ordering enough. I guess we'll never know.
Congrats defender! Cant wait to see pics of it.

My dealer in Germany told me today on request that my Prestige was put back from october to december. But maybe not, they got another Evoque four weeks earlier than expected... Others were put back and some days later again forward, looks a little bit confusing...
Ordered: TD 4 Prestige Auto 4D, Fuji, Spirit, Pan roof, Winter package...
Build date 10-28

Just got a call to confirm my build is still reading 25/11 for delivery 8/12 so no change - yet.
Phew!
Also worth noting that John from Williams in Manchester has been excellent all along with me and is going to check weekly for me now.
Arrived: 4WD SD4 Auto, Prestige, LUX Buckingham Blue w/everything apart from rear screens.
Current/ For Sale: C63 AMG Estate.
Gone: RRS TDV8, F360, Boxster S x3, F328GTS, Caterham etc...
