MY2014
We have ordered a new Evoque (2014 model) but I am unsure as to when it is likely to be manufactured. Any ideas?

Have you got a price yet, or just put a deposit down so your dealer puts you in as soon as it's released?

No .. we haven't got a price - just put down a deposit but we have no idea when the new car will be manufactured.

RE: MY2014
2014MY usually starts production after the Summer Factory shutdown in August for delivery to customers in time for the September Registration Plate. However, I've heard conflicting rumours this year that suggest on one hand production has already started and on the other that 2014MY won't be available until October.
Try asking your Dealer as they should by now have more information, it might be under an embargo, but they usually find a way of dropping a hint without breaking the embargo.

RE: MY2014
I was told to expect an October / November delivery. What we all want to know is the spec for MY2014. They must release it in August surely as it will start damaging sales if people are holding off as the price and spec is still TBC.

Don't expect anything major to change, the 9 speed auto is supposed to be introduced, possibly some new colours ( watch the Freelander2 and RRS sections of the LR configurator for hints) and there has been mention of what sound to me like utter crap bling chrome door handles, when will LR learn their true customers don't want acres or even spots of shiney plastic bling, it's only the Russian and Chinese markets
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: MY2014
The Evoque will look pretty much the same as it does now, there will be the new auto, new colours and alloys.
LR are focusing on the the new RRS and the up and coming Freelander replacement. I think once the next Freelander is released the Evoque will get a bigger update to keep it ahead and justify its place in the Range Rover line up.

I've heard that the Stop / Start function will also be available on the automatics. For some reason it isn't at the moment.
