Blame the EU for the size of the mirrors.

I agree.

Sometimes its really hard to judge where the corner is cause you can't see past the big shiny blog in your view.

RE: MY 2013

As ED209 said, the size of the mirrors is down to EU legislation.

As for suggestions, speed up the rear entry in a coupe, better floor mats, foot rest protector, faster processor in the SatNav/Centre Console system.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

RE: MY 2013

My dealer said that JLR is in the process of upgrading the motors, everyone who has a Coupe will get this upgrade free (like a recall). Dunno when though.

In terms of upgrades, Make all the lights in the interior LED, why only the glove box?
More storage, where do you place your sun glasses? I place mine near the center consol light area.

Better interior options.
The Manual available iN North America.

I am seriously interested in this as I would like a Dynamic Lux Plus with a light interior and Tan upholstery (almost a Spirit Prestige interior)

I've yet to hear about this. Any more details? I was surprised LR didn't offer this from the beginning as they do for the RR and RRS, however I put that down to the massive amount of orders they had and I was thinking this might become available at some point. Hopefully it will be available for MY 2013.

We don't get a manual box for all engines in Europe either. The Si4 comes standard with the auto box. The manual is only available for the diesels which aren't very popular over the pond I guess, hence LR doesn't sell them there.

Sorry for being slightly off topic, but i'm curious now. If it's EU related, then does anyone know how they determine the size of the mirrors per model? For instance, the Audi Q5 has mirrors as big as the Evoque's,but the Q3's are normal size, and the Q3 is just as new as the Evoque. Their are also many other newish European SUV's with normal size mirrors.
Anyone got any insight into this.

They already modified the MY13.
If you look real close you might see the roof has been chopped off to produce a covertible. Just a small mid life crisis change I'd say.

RE: MY 2013

The current mirrors are just fine if you have a Coupe, there is no real need for the Blind Spot monitoring as there is next to no blind area because they are large. I do agree though that one Range Rover characteristic has been lost in making the car look so good and that is the loss of the ability to see every corner from the driver's seat, it would be really good to at least be able to see the corners of the bonnet/hood even though there are parking aids, you cannot rely on them if you take your car off into the wilds in deep grass as you have to disable the sensors.

RE: MY 2013

In the long term I would like to see a bigger engine available for the Dynamic trim, perhaps a 3.0 TD "a la BMW" - 313bhp/50+mpg. Also, this dynamic should have bonnet vents regardless of whether it's a 3 or 5 door. But in the short term I don't think anything major needs to be done - it's fantastic as it is.

Being picky, perhaps a slightly bigger drivers floor mat?

I would also like to see regular firmware updates for the electronics and computer/satnav for everybody, to keep everything up-to-date, but I'm sure Landrover are going to do this anyway.

5 door, SD4 Auto, Dynamic LUX, Orkney Grey, Verve Interior, Ebony Headlining, Privacy Glass, Spare Wheel......
