LTB00532v2 - Hill Start Assist Applied During Low Speed Manouevre

Just noticed this on Topix:

https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix...?id=442278

Any one have access to give me the jist. Had this very occasionally on my 1st car, but am getting it quite often on the 2nd; this makes sense now, knowing that it is the Hill Decent Control kicking in. Would be good to know the "cure" and be empowered before I go to my dealer (so I don't get fobbed off!)

Thanks

Don't have access to Topix, but how do you know this is happening on yours? What are the symptoms?

For example, I reverse out of my drive and do a 90deg right turn at walking pace. Let clutch out and accelerate forward on full left lock to go down my road and as you get to above 10mph the rhythmic thump thump of the HDC kicks in and you the whole car tries to come to a stop. First time I thought what have I run over? but now know I just need to dip the clutch and carry on driving. The force it slows you with can be enough to lock the seat belt. Wonder if this is also related to the steering clonking previously reported by myself?

Paula,

That's a really good started for 10, although my chassis number is a couple of thousand later than the affected range. This will help me convince my (German) stealer what is wrong as they have something to go on, rather than thinking I am a crazy Brit making things up since it is a very random event of which there is absolutely no hope in replicating at the dealers.

BFG

Lol, I'm sure they think we're all mad Brits anyway Laughing. At least you have something to be armed with for your visit. Perhaps V2 of this TSB is very similar, but covering the later VIN numbers. Hope you get it sorted soon, Buddy. Smile Paula xx

I was using BI for a while but they really p***** me off a few months back so am now using GT; they have got better recently as they seem to have a new service manager. I can't be bothered to go to HF, but they have always been the best of the three in the past. Might try KE later in the week as we spend quite a lot of time down there.

Where are you?

Note to all other users: we haven't gone mad!
