LR "this is not a circular" letter

Received today, personal typed letter from local dealer saying "Good News", please contact the general manager at your soonest convenience
No other detail
Sounds like a sales promo to try and upgrade my 2 y SI4 ? If so dont really want to get embroiled.
Maybe its to do with poor survey feedback :0
Is this a common LR practice , anyone similar ?
If it was something in my interests they should phone me !

Good News, now that we've had a couple of years of learning from our mistakes and actually making our cars properly , how about you give us even more of your money.

Cheers

Very skeptical of you tetstb Laughing

You have to remember, like all companies these days, when you purchase something from them and supply them with your contact details, you are most likely going to end up on a mailing list or email list.

Best thing to do, if it doesnt specify the reason, your full name and your vehicle details, then just simply bin it and ignore. From past experience, I know the main legitimate reasons for letters from vehicle manufacturers / dealers tend to be recall actions (affected VIN numbers would be listed), service due, warranty due to expire, which in both of the last cases, would quote your specific vehicle details.

So yeah, I wouldnt worry, it more than likely is just generic marketing and if you are not looking for a new vehicle, just bin it and forget it is my advice.

Or it could be what I got which was an invitation to a customer clinic of new models that LR wanted owners views on. The "not a circular" had a phone number which wasn't LR but a PR company that was hosting the event. I'm not allowed to tell you what I saw though....................

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
