RE: Keyfob Battery Cover

Well, it's a solution of course which will need to be redone from time to time, but I would much rather be able to buy a handful of replacements for a few pounds to last my likely ownership of the car. To be fair, other manufacturers do not offer these as spares but nor do they choose such a shiny surface. A textured surfacer is much better at hiding wear and tear.

I guess by changing the key on the MY13 cars we can now rest assured that LR have realised the original key while very nice when new wasn't resilient enough... (thanks to Griff for the pic of the new key)

Now how about a remedy for the MY12 key fob owners?

Hi people
Probably the wrong place to ask this but seeing the pic of the MY13 key prompted me.
I took delivery of my car on Saturday (ordered exactly 6 months ago) should I have got a MY13 key and the car to go with it?
I have a MY12 key and I presume the car to go with it!

To tell if you have a 2013MY Evoque take a look at the front grille - LR badge? If it has one it is a 2013, if not (unless you asked for a change!) it is 2012MY

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

E-Bay worked for me

Once the cover arrived I thought I could not live with it but over time, and to prove my wife's disparaging remarks about it being an expensive waste of money wrong, I am actually a convert.

Albeit it would have been good to get it prior to the key being scratched to bejesus by the previous owner! Sad

Keyfob Battery Cover

Just got one of these off eBay (sent from China). Not very classy but does the job of keeping the fob protected. However the fob is slightly loose inside so the buttons doesn't always match up to the marks on the outside of the cover but I think I'll shove some padding in there that should hold it in place better.

Fuji Pure SD4 Auto 5door, powered tailgate, front sensors, rear camera , pano roof, heated steering wheel, front fogs, xenons, spare wheel, 19" diamond turned alloys
