Just Remapped 2.2 SD4 Auto

Hello All,

Thought I'd share my recent experience in remapping my SD4 Auto.

Having other cars with far more power I really missed that in the evoque, the car is fantastic but just that little lack of power was annoying me.

So I decided to get a power remap to gain some BHP & Torque.

I had a quantum map done and can report the following...

I was getting 27mpg around town and now after 1000 miles it's risen to 31mpg

On a long run I used to get 32mpg and now that's gone up to 34mpg

The mid range acceleration is so much more smoother and if you use command shift you can really make it move!

I told my insurance company and it was an additional £16 to my policy so nothing much there.

I am out of warranty now so no issues there.

Driveability of the car is so much better and now actually a pleasure to drive, don't get me wrong was good before but now it's great!

Anyone thinking about it I would definitely go for it!

That's good to know 40mpg is achievable!!!
I'll look forward to doing more long runs to see if I can improve!

As for the town driving it is constant stop start so not sure if I can achieve anymore than that.

Economy is good but the increase in power is noticeable and so much more effortless to drive!

who did you go with?
I'm on the cusp of going 'bluefin'.

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

Jaz, if you want to see what the trip computer is given between every start and stop on a journey (it will include the times when stop/start is used without resetting the trip) then the Auto mpg function is great, it resets automatically after each journey and you can recall the data in the eco section of the touch screen

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Thanks Tim for the tip, was unaware of that function! Many thanks

Racing Snake I went for a Quantum map and only reason was they are local to me and do choice of maps including performance, Economy or a mix of both.

Blufin is superchips so I'm sure it's great with the added advantage of doing it yourself and taking it off when you want. Demon Tweeks do a good deal for them with a k&n filter thrown in.

Please let us know when you get it done would be interested in knowing what you think of it and your mpg improvements!

Interesting. So would you say worth the outlay? Speaking of outlay, how much if you don't mind?

Definitely worth it!
£350 for the Quantum map they are available nationwide so if you google you will find your nearest dealer
There are others like Bell etc but vary in cost.

I've had loads of my cars remapped in the past and never had any issues

The performance and economy benefit make it worth it in my opinion!
