Is Zanzibar attractive to Spiders?

My brother has just taken my car out for a long run after a month of no use. It started first press of the starter and ran well. I was even able to get logged in to the Incontrol App for once and see where it was while in his hands......... literally, big brother is watch you!

But one thing he has commented on is how many spiders seem to have taken up residence and constructed spider's webs on the bodywork, way more than he recalls having found on either my Defender when it was left in the same location or seeing on my last, Fuji Evqoue. So either it's a good year for spiders or Zanzibar attracts them. My Fuji Evoque was a haven for 1000's of tiny black bugs whenever it was left outside , even over night they would home in on it!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Tim I think it's the bright colour, I have the same problem with my Triumph TR6 in Jasmine. Always covered with little bugs as soon as it's outside especially in a rural area

It was also a good winter for Spiders... Not too harsh! A good Scottish winter will probably sort them out next year! Very Happy

RE: Is Zanzibar attractive to Spiders?

We have nice mild winters - it's you guys down in the south and midlands that get the cold winters (or at least's what the BBC tells us when everything stops for 2mm of snow in the south when we have a couple of metres of it!)

Jeroma, yes I do live out of town, in the sticks.
