Incontrol Apps

Doesn't sound too inviting after paying £350 for the privilege of running them, on top of paying for the Evoque!

RE: Incontrol Apps

Slightly more promising after Jaguar made some announcements about the new XE, including a fancy albeit a bit overproduced promo video. Watch as he reads from the script, without really understanding what's he's talking about.

We can expect the same from the new Disco launch on the 3/9. There's nothing I've seen recently to suggest the Evoque's Incontrol apps will be any different. With so many launches in the next month JLR will need to deliver on this interesting development. Let's just hope they can interest the developers enough.

RE: Incontrol Apps

So has no one got an Evoque with the Incontrol apps feature yet?

I have been advised by Pete@Land Rover that it cannot, it is a different system to the existing InControl Remote and uses its own USB port - that is how you know if your car has or hasn't got it fitted. Current cars have only one USB socket in the centre cubby box

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Incontrol Apps

So my new dynamic, arriving next week has the Incontrol Apps. I'll report on what it covers sometime soon.

If anyone's desperate, there's a brand new dynamic with InControl Apps sitting in the showroom at Lookers in Battersea. It's the one built for me, only they built it in the wrong colour !

RE: Incontrol Apps

iwf, what do you think? Have it on he car I have just picked up and it's ok for music and contacts, but not convinced about the other app's and certainly a lack of them.

I can only hope it's early days and once the disco sport is released there will be an influx of app's.

RE: Incontrol Apps

In the end I decided to take delivery early Jan, as I'm away in South Africa until then. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks time.

However I'm actually not that hopeful. I started to wonder about what ideal apps Id like to have. Apart from a better Nav I'm struggling to think of good apps. Getting siri working would make a difference though.
