Illuminated Tread Plates Coupe Vs 5 door?

Hello All,

Just out of curiosity I went to the local dealer and ask about illumintated tread plates that fit my 5 door Evoque. He pulled up some stats where the 2 door tread plates were cheaper than the 5 door ones. Dont the coupe one's fit on the 5 door? I was trying to do a dimensions search online with no luck. Could anyone of you advise whether they are the same or different?

Would the connecting points be non-aligned if tried to fit on the 5 door? So absolutely not possible.

Yes, the fixings would be out. You could always superglue them down

You have to remember that the Coupe door aperture is larger than the 5 door which is why the tread plates are bigger.
They are not interchangeable.

Also for the 5 door I think you get 4 thread plates don't you?

I thought the same, but that was not the case. The dealer confirmed that its just for the front door. So its 2 plates, which are smaller at a bigger price.
