I think the dealership got the order wrong !

Hi

With my car arriving ath the dealership on tuesday, I have finally got hold of the VIN and logged in to Topix to have a look at the specification:

And I see:

Trim:EBONY WOOD/WARM BRUSHED METAL

Which suggests to me that they have ordered the Vibe (ebony) as opposed to the Ambience (Ivory & Expresso) which is what I ordered.

Only just discovered this so have left a message for the salesman...

Not sure I'm going to be too happy a bunny if/when he calls back !

It's just the choice of trim finisher across the front of the dash. Standard is the brushed but you can switch to the wood if you prefer as a nco iirc.

Hopefully others will confirm. So hopefully not the problem you were thinking about.

Thanks ChuckieB,

Its the Ebony Im concerned about rather than the wood finisher.

I guess Ill wait and see what arrives on tuesday LOL.
Looking at the spec on Topix, there seems to be no other mention of interior colours.

The way it's written the 'Ebony' IS the wood trim (which is nicer than the brushed aluminium, in my opinion, and I wished I'd had it). It's the 'warm brushed metal' that puzzles me - is this what they're calling 'brushed aluminium' now?

Warm brushed Aluminium? Isn't that the one with the flower pattern on it? You could have a first for the forum there Peet!

"Botanical" is what that one is called.

Anybody been Hippy enough to order it? I suspect I might be a short lived option?

It may be alright as I had similar confusion when speccing my car over the phone as they also talk of the centre consul (where gears heating etc is) finish on the paper work so to me it means the dark wood finisher on the dash and brushed metal on centre consul. This confused me as I thought there no choice on centre consul so why mention it but on the flowery aluminium design that can also be put on consul surround by gears etc.
