Hesitation

Hello 61 reg Evoque Dynamic SD4, there is an hesitation on idling as anybody had the same thing.

Maybe this is a UK -vs- US English thing, but "hesitation on idling" doesn't really parse. Hesitation to me means an unexpected or awkward pause before reaction when you hit the gas. Or do you mean that when you're moving and take your foot off the gas to coast there's a jerky reaction?

Please explain? Or perhaps a fellow Brit can clarify it for you!

Hello Doody sorry should have said when the car is stationery with the car just ticking over

So, are you talking about hesitation/flat spot when you are pulling away from rest?

I had this so changed from cheap Tesco fuel to shell diesel seems to have cured it.

Has the OP had the Q585 update?

It sounds to me like the Op means a rough or hunting idle?

Maybe poor fuel delivery, Blocked filter? or EGV valve? Although with a fuel filter you'd probably notice it at high speed more.

Rough idling Phil it's ok when driving but will check EGR valve the weekend
