I also find the heat somewhat inadequate at startup... and different settings don't seem to make much difference.

On these bitterly cold mornings, it seems to take 10-15 minutes before I feel noticeable heat. Any suggestions about optimal settings, and is it best to warm up before driving?

Exactly what I find. The only way I have found to heat it up quicker is have both driver and passenger temps on HI, fan on about 4, AC off and only feet and face vents switched on.

But I've never known a car take so long to warm up.

Is slow cabin heating something that should be mentioned in The List (http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-2012-Soft...ate-List)? I find the seats start to fry my butt very quickly, and have to turn them down, or off, within minutes of starting the car.

I also find the front screen heater works fast. However, cold cabin is certainly something I notice, when I put the system on Auto. They are supposed to have tested that one a lot, in Greenland or some such, before they released the car to market.

I think they humidify the air, so if feels colder than normal, as the Air Conditioning comes on when Auto heating is called for.

Has anyone tried to use Webasto before sitting in the car and starting the engine?
Many owners in my country find it very convenient with the temperature below 0C.

Today I tracked the temp of the cabin with a thermometer. Here are my findings:

It was 3 deg outside (and in the cabin), I put the heating on Auto (AC off), both temps on HI, and recirc on.

0min - 3 deg
5min - 5 deg
10min - 12 deg
15min - 15 deg
20min - 23 deg.

I think 20mins to get to a comfortable temperature is not acceptable - anyone fancy trying the same test?!

Have done a few tests over past few days and I feel (but it could be purely psychosomatic!) that the cabin and heated seats warm up faster if the aircon is left on auto, with the cabin warm in a few minutes.

Once warm you can then play with the setup.

To you mean the AC switched on? I thought AC cooled the air...?
