RE: Parts bin specials

It always amzed me as a child some Jags used to have Ford Escort dash switches in them, kinda lost its feeling of specialness when I saw that, so its nothing new...

But would agree, particularly you'd expect a next level of sophisticated electronic toys when paying the next premium price bracket.

Keeping similar looking parts ties a brand feel across a range, it works if its nicely done and quality of materials moves up with the price.

Some of the cars I have seen have an Evoque style steering wheel..........

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

It's just like any other car manufacturer, it keeps costs down. If you have a good system in one car why not share it among others in the range.
