RE: Fitting Of Roofrails.

I'm only planning to use the roof rails occasionally so I've just bought the Thule kit that doesn't require the roof rails - £170 in total including the top of the range wing bars.

RE: Fitting Of Roofrails.

What wind noise I can't hear anything just about hear the engine noise. The car is well build was doing 100mph on the motorway felt very smooth and very little road noise. Guess once I have my bike on the roof might start to hear random noise. However im not carrying the bike every day Smile

Will get some pics and post them up - I just put them on the car yesterday but it was too dark to get a photo.

Just remembered there are some pics on the thread below (post 14) of the Thule with the basic black bars. I will still get a photo to post up as I have the aerodynamic wing bars which look quite different.

RE: Fitting Of Roofrails.

just picked up a set of thule bars and bike carrier for the evoque. The bike carrier has been powder coated black to match everything else...works well with the rails...i have a gloss black roof box on order. I should be set for family holidays now Smile

RE: Fitting Of Roofrails.

That set of thule bars doesn't look quite like what we have on offer in Europe? Have yo got the no for the foot keyt at all please. The europe spec offers a rubber coated metal strap underneath to secure it?

Also how many bikes can you get on? LR suggest of you have their cross bars and bike carriers you can only get 2 to fit! am assuming they are thinking you wouldn't turn one of the extra racks round as it would spoil the aesthetics!

Thanks.
