Evoque - aging badly....

It's very flattering to the design that it has been used slightly modified for FFRR L405 and RRS and there hasn't been a huge outcry about the design cues that are common to the 3 cars. Still way better looking than any Audi Q or BMW X or Porsche Cayenne/Macan

The visual design of the Evoque is beautiful! I had no intention of purchasing a new car until I saw the Evoque. I'm a graphic designer. This was the first affordable car that I could not visually find any fault from any angle in its exterior design. (The instrument cluster could be improved and the control screen icons and interface design looks cheap.) The design had a purposeful honesty – that is to say it wasn't trying to look and fool you into believing you are buying a car that it isn't. I can't imagine how they could update this design without ruining what they already have. Maybe carry over the lower part of the Dynamic front end – fog lamp/duct area, through the entire line. Compared to the new Jag SUV, the Jag design is far behind and he new Porsche Macan looks boring.

Land Rover's design teams over the years have been pretty good at getting design right
The Original Land Rover can still be seen in the latest Defender 65 years down the road, the 1st Range Rover with 3 doors is an icon, the next generation was a 1st generation elongated and is still considered a classic, Disco 1 was carried over into Disco 2 but only the stepped roof seemed to make it into Disco 3. P38A (Mk3 RR) wasn't a huge success and of course Evoque has spawned L405 FFRR and the new RRS especially their interior design

I have always wonderd why the lines below the rear lights suddenly drop.Why does it not stay on the same level?

Not seen this style rear bumper on UK cars. We have numberplate in tailgate. Still looks nice though.

I think that licence plate is there because it would not fit into the space below the rear cam where European cars have their oblong licence plate

Wow that looks strange! Maybe if the back lights were a bit bigger so that the lines were lower and you could fit a number plate in.

I'm sticking with Photoshop, it looks wrong, where are the license plate lights?

I've been stateside and saw a few Evoques in the Bay Area (SF) and all of them had them in the normal position.
