RE: Evoque Plus for late 2016

I'm happy with the PSA engine, very hushed compared to Fl2/Evoque, mpg is mid 40s, one trip averaged 51mpg. Not sure I'm ready to start using adblue, will be fine if it makes it to service intervals.

IMO, there is more important things needing addressed in the range, the lack of a proper replacement for the Fl2 needs to be addressed, a popular model, which brings in the money. I love my DS but it just looks like an Evoque plus. What happened to the clear design difference between the ranges? If the Evoque is to small move to the lifestyle range and buy a DS, stick a Range Rover badge on the bonnet if it makes people feel better, the DS is just as plush inside as the Evoque.

The Evoque Plus may well bring me back to JLR...

J77, really the DS is just as plush as the Evoque on the inside? I must have missed the leather trim levels on the HSE DS I had a look at!

That's the point to the Discovery range. it's life style orientated, as LR describe it premium but not presious.

It has leather dash facings, just not a topper. Doesn't look too shabby

Back on topic, I just don't see the need for yet another Range Rover, when there is such large gaps in their range.

There is no need unless you are a shareholder in JLR and see a need to milk the brand for all you can and for ever larger profits. Land Rover is not a world wide by word for "luxury" - Range Rover is so they can charge more.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

No doubt it will sell well, I hope it does. I would like to see the other ranges develop and not get left behind, like the Defender.

I'm torn now, as the F-pace is very much on my radar, especially the V6 supercharged, as Jaguar have the Macan in their sights.

I'm led to believe the XL, Plus or whatever it gets called will share much of the F-Pace components.

Probably got 12 to 16 months to wait and see what materializes.

Evoque No3: MY15 Dynamic Lux SD4, Auto, Santorini Black, Pimento Dynamic Plus Sports Seats, Ebony headlining, Pan Roof, Shadow Chrome Alloys.

Me too... I think I would go a LR if given the choice. Time will tell.
