On 20"s its about £260 for 3 years cover (you can make this longer or shorter), up to 5 claims and £300 per claim.
At that price 1 claim in the 3 years and it will have paid for itself Very Happy

Is that wheel and tyre or just wheel?

LR did both for not much more than that.

Just tyre.

Searched Google and tyre and wheel don't seem to be offered together.
But you can get alloy and paint paired up.

I took wheel and tyre combined on my current insignia for £400 through the dealer, but that was on 18"s.

Unusual for a dealer to be competetive on the extras.

Ordered 17/2/12 Dynamic SD4 Auto 5dr, Mauritius Blue, Pan roof, 20" style 6 (gloss black), Vortex, Ebony Headlining, Ent Pack, Heated St. Wheel, Homelink, Pr Glass, Auto Dim r.view mirror, spare wheel

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Don't damage any tyres

Got the new tyre fitted this morning and now the car has it's summer style 6's and 20" tyres on, ready for the sunshine! Listening to Gardener's Question Time on R4 on the way home am disappointed that the weather forecast is for heavy frosts from Saturday night onward into next week and there is a distinct possibility of SNOW over Easter! Fantasic timing for changing the wheels............... so the winter wheels and tyres are now all washed and dried, stacked up with thick carpet off-cuts between the alloys and a hefty blanket over the lot to keep the daylight off. Next job is to post off the claim form to the insurers. Also the pre-discount price of the new tyre was £330! If anybody is looking for unused 19" Continentals that have only delivery miles on them I have 4 that are up for sale for reasonable offers IRO £100 a tyre + carriage.

I suppose some insurance isn't worth it but feel this wlll pay for itself in no time plus I dont have to worry about kerbing all the time.

RE: Don't damage any tyres

Just received a cheque today for my replacement tyre - they paid £250 of the £270 as £250 is the maximum claim, but it's better than having to pay out and get nothing in return, the 5 years premium is now paid for!

RE: Don't damage any tyres

Never heard of this insurance before, am I right in assuming that it is totally separate from your usual car insurance (will not affect no claims bonus etc..), much the same as cycle or phone insurance, or all the other thousands of insurances we need to live!

Is the premium affected by where you live or is it a fixed price (for 3 years etc.)
