DivX and registering the evoque

Hi, my Meridian doesnt recognise any video format. I have some movies converted to DivX and it still doesnt recognise anything. However, the VOD screen simply says 'your registration code is' but there is no number!

Is this something that has to come from the dealer in order to register the VOD with DivX?

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's not asking you to enter a code?

RE: DivX and registering the evoque

The code is to play Video on Demand from DivX (purchased movies), I havent tried it as yet, but this shouldn't stop it playing videos from USB as long as they are in the right format (search for other threads on video formats) that should work straight on delivery.

But if you don't have a VOD code to register with DIVX maybe the video codecs are not installed properly?

Try some other Video files first, or some examples from the DivX website.

From DIVX Registration

You must complete a one-time registration process in order to play a purchased DivX movie on your DivX device. Registration is not needed to play free DivX movies you create or download.

STEP 2: GET DIVX REGISTRATION CODE FROM DEVICE
Find your DivX Registration Code, typically located in the device's main settings menu. Enter this code into DivX Player to continue registration.

Thanks, but....

I have read those points on the DivX website also, but there is no way of finding a code or entering a code into the Meridian system so I'm a bit stuck before Ive started.

Yes, mine has a code in the VOD Menu so something is not right or the German version does not provide Divx Licencing?

Either way this should not stop you playing Videos from USB though?
