Countdown Code

Hi all,

There is now a countdown code available for inclusion in posts, or more likely in your signature.

There are two formats, as follows:

• Code:
  

  [countdown]2012-01-01 01:02:03[/countdown]
• Code:
  

  [countdown="an hour and a bit after New Year"]1st January 2012 1:02am[/countdown]

Which will display like this:

[countdown]2012-01-01 01:02:03[/countdown]

[countdown="an hour and a bit after New Year"]2012-01-01 01:02:03[/countdown]

The format required for the date/time is, as you can see, fairly open and "intelligent"

The countdown will get more specific as the date gets closer.

Any feedback or suggestions for improvements are more than welcome, this is the first iteration and will take on board all comments to make it better

I've just added it to mine for the DC-100 I have a deposit on - there is a spelling mistake in it though "yearss"

How do I code "Have absolutely no idea when !!"

can we also have one that states original delivery date, new delivery date, possible delivery date, a maybe delivery date and finally when ever someone at JLR decides to build it!!

Sorted I think

1) Copy the text from one of the examples in Post#1
2) Paste into your signature
3) Amend the date
4) Add some text at the end eg "until delivery" or "until they find some headlights"

AC, that's what I have done with my DC-100 comment - it has the countdown in it........................ with the comment before

That will work, bit tou can follow the second example, doing this:

Code:

[countdown="delivery"]2011-11-11[/countdown]

Which comes out as:
[countdown="delivery"]2011-11-11[/countdown]
