Black side steps make a mean looking Evoque

I have been asked by Simon to post this picture for him

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Thank you very very much Tim!
And Jasons.

At last I have a picture of my new pride and joy on the forum!
I wasn't too keen on the idea of steps at first. But SWMBO Was used to them on our previous RAV4.
I definitely didn't want chrome ones, I thought they would ruin the look of the car with black pack. So came across these from a company in the West Midlands 'sidesteps UK'.
They are very well made and robust. With the black metal outer strip being powder coated. The owner and designer Keith. Is an extremely nice guy, and will fit them for you free of charge!
Really starting to like them now!

£340. As I bought them from a friend of theirs. But if you go direct I think they are a little cheaper!
Just Phone and speak to Keith or Jackie. Lovely couple, and will go out of their way to assist you!Wink
Quite a difference in price compared to the official ones which come out at £1000 fitted. And are a lot more sturdy!

Btw. These angle out slightly towards the front. So blend more with the shape of the car. And are more practical.
Most of the steps you see on 4x4's these days are just cosmetic and just for looks. These you can actually stand on, and will brush any low overhanging foliage out of the way on narrow country lanes!
