Bigger engine on the way?
Just been reading about the new 301bhp 2.0ltr Turbo destined for the 3rd generation RS Focus............ Could this be the RS Evoque too? Autoexpress reckons the RS Focus will also be FWD with a special diff ( that will be the self destructing one I suppose!)

RE: Bigger engine on the way?
The one aspect of the car I'm bracing myself to be disappointed about is the performance, even the Si4, coming as I will from a Subaru Impreza WRX which although slightly lower power is much lighter. Actually, the main performance criteria for me is the ability to overtake an arctic with a gaggle of half a dozen cars in tow; the Subaru will do it, my 911 turbo does it in the blink of an eye and I do wonder how the RRE will be.
So, if there's a faster version coming, bring it on I say. My worry is how JLR are going to meet the fleet average economy requirements. Maybe they thought the ed4 would do it but if the choices on this forum are representative, not many are so far interested.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

RE: Bigger engine on the way?
I think there won't be a faster one for years to come.
The si4 with a remap would be good for 270 bhp probably no problems.
Unfortunately the whole show is driven by the bean counters & Eurocrats
I have no fast cars left (all sold in 2007 including my 996 turbo) I will have to make do with the Power of the 150 diesel
Gutted, but never mind
A bigger Evoque may be on the way with some bigger lumps
SD4 Arrived, Fuji , 20" style wheels, Privacy glass, Front fogs, Auto wiper and Auto Lights, Black leather

"Range Rover More Evoquer" and "Range Rover Most Evoqued" might be better.

Think this one is heading for a relocation to the off-topic section...................
