Mmm even though I'm a die-hard Audi fan I'd take the Merc..

They look very similar and both look deadly boring. The S3 could very easily be mistaken for an RS4 too. And I bet the ride will be so harsh it will feel like you are driving over boulders......

Audi exterior just wins for me, except of course it looks like every other car in the range pretty much and don't like the Merc grills at the moment, interior of the Merc wins except for that hideous multi-button panel in the dash, Audi interior cleaner but the radio section looks so old fashioned.

That's the climate control. It's not too bad in the flesh, I had a look around a standard A3 as I was curious. I quite like the uncluttered look, and the mmi control with touchpad on top is nice. Still, my choice would be the merc. To me, it looks more dramatic, and drama's what you want if you want a hot hatch
