Similar to us, 6,500 miles and averaging 33mpg on the Trip A Since new, has been better lately and the Road Tax is Way Cheaper than the £460 I have just parted with for my BMW 335i Coupe, worth every penny thugh!!Very HappyVery Happy

RE: 50.4 MPG

Just passed 14k miles... the last couple of fill ups hitting 38-39 MPG... mixed driving and I don't drive very conservatively.. Smile

One thing I did notice though is prior to 10K I was struggling to get 32-33 MPG... my driving style has not changed, so looks like the girl has started to loosen up Smile

Can't be SD4 or Si4 Shocked Not a chance I could get 50mpg, best was 47mpg heading down M6 at 55mph in traffic directly from a filling station on the junction, but as soon as I was off the motorway it dropped to 42mpg, as soon as I hit town it dropped to 40mpg. Normal 36-38mpg.

Yours seems to be exactly the same as mine

RE: 50.4 MPG

How long is the journey? Less than 15 miles one way and the engine isn't warming up enough to be efficient - a petrol engine is much quicker to warm up and also more efficient in stop start motoring, then you may also find that your DPF is regenerating more frequently if you are in commuter driving............................ and diesels don't like tear-away from the lights type driving with lots of gear changes, they love steady RPM cruising for hours and hours, so are not the ideal engine for a commuter car

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Still awaiting delivery of my Evoque so viewing this thread with interest.

My current manual 4WD Kuga just manages 40mpg on what are mainly 200+ motorway mile trips at 75 or so.

My expectations for my ordered auto SD4 are in the region of the same, possibly lower allowing for the auto box. If I get above 36 mpg on the same trips I will be happy.

Cheers

Mark H

Delivered Nov 12: 5 door Pure SD4 Auto, OG with black contrast roof, almond/espresso interior, 20 inch black style 6 wheels, fogs and privacy....oh and a real spare.

Sounds about right, once you go much over 70mph it crucifies the MPG!!
