4wd/2wd.
Hopefully someone can explain this to me.
The 4wd version of the Evoque is fitted with a Haldex system. Is this a full time system, which can vary the amount of power to either front or real wheels, i.e. 80/20, 60/40, 40/60?
Or is it a 2wd system which converts to 4wd when the road conditions demand it.
I'm confused because LR have this 2wd model as well.

RE: 4wd/2wd.
It's permanent 4WD, which shuffles torque between the front and rear axles to ensure power is sent where it’s needed most. Not sure of ratios though. Same system as Freelander 2. Hope that helps.

RE: 4wd/2wd.
As I understand it the car is permanent 4wd. At a stand still it is a 50/50 split as the car pulls away the drive is directed more to the front once it realises that there is no chance of traction loss, but there is always a small amount of drive to the rear.
