Here in the United States it is no issue. I can change my bumpers and if there is an accident they will give me money for new bumper should bumper be damaged. They will not care what year the bumper is.
So what we do is:
-buy new 2016MY bumper
-sell old bumper on ebay
If wreck means I need new bumper insurance will give me money for whatever model year bumper came on my car.
-Then I take that money and just buy another 2016MY bumper

No one cares here in United States.

Everything is insurable, with these changes declared probably not via compare the market type insurers but the likes of A-Plan/Adrian Flux etc not a problem.

I have bought one damaged pre facelift headlight with the intention of using its wiring to adapt to facelift light.

Cheers Jdub.

I did find the wiring diagrams for the 2012 and 2016 Evoque Headlights, but as i'm not too sharp on electrics, i couldn't understand anything on them... may help someone who is though...

I'm also keen to get the Full LED Headlights from the 2016 onto my 2012 Dynamic... I have the factory Bi-Xenons with the LED DRLs...

Actually doing this exact conversion so will get my own thread sorted out shortly.

I’ve ended up buying Nick’s headlights while he doesn’t currently have the time to get his sorted.

Have just spoken to an electrician at Hatfield Land Rover, Liverpool and told him the problems experienced…. You know this already Nick, but the issue is the software within the car.

He did mention he has seen a facelift model already that has been completed on the old software, but it’s using a transformer and obviously, JLR don’t make one of them (why would they)

So I think it’s just a matter of getting a quality auto electrician who knows his stuff. The Land Rover chap did say it’s bread and butter to a decent spark who is competent.... So it certainly isn’t impossible, just time consuming and a lot of trial and error.
Andy, any more info?
Nick have you heard back from Andy?

This is what I found so far on the internet.

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

Hi, I'm afraid I won't be doing the headlight conversion anytime soon. Need someone else to suss it first. I heard from Andy and I think his evoque had been written off so project abandoned, so don't think he'll be pursuing!

Be interested to see more detail in the above video.
