IMHO The Park Assist in any form wouldn't be missed, Blind Spot Monitoring is a pain if you live in the country
like I do as it picks up all the over hanging branches, I also wouldn't miss the TV especially as I drive by myself most of the time

Not a great fan of modifications, I think the car is pretty good as it leaves the factory. I haven't even specced the roof rails or tow bar that I have on the coupe for my new Evoque - I think I've used the tow bar twice as what I have towed has been better suited to going behind my Defender 90. Having said that I do like Lionhead's gloss black diffusers and they would work well on the Ipanema sand with Black contrast roof 5 door that is on the way.

Not happy at all.

I got told by the Dealer the MY2014 Evoques have been delayed. Since last Friday. A Software update is needed on the 9 speed gear box.

This will not commence until 18th November. Which is next Monday.

So looks like the car will be late by a few weeks.

I cannot understand that, the gearbox has been in test for nearly a year now. 2014MY is turning into a fiasco.

You might want to get your dealer to confirm that. My dealer only informed me this morning that my car is still on track to roll down the production line on weds and has no reports on his system of any delays other than that that has been discussed on the forum.

My car was also scheduled to be built today. And the dealer said they will make it. However no MY2014 Evoque will be sent to dealers until the update is done starting the 18th.

I was browsing pictures of the 2014 Evoque on the Landrover (Germany) website http://evoque.landrover.com/de/entdecken , and think i have the answers to a couple of my questions,see below in red....
P.S. The German Landrover website is more advanced then the English one... (figure that out?)

Good news, My car has been built. It has come off the assembly line.

Now it will just sit there gathering dust till they do the software update to the gearbox!.

Commencing the 18th. Which means they will start ALL MY2014 Evoque's, doesn't necessarily mean mine will get done on the 18th.

This is the bit i hate. The car is built yet still not ready to be sent out to meeeeeee
