Bet you are right it will be something somewhere in settings , just cant find it , not desperate to use it but wanted to be able to when needed :lol

Make sure the SatNav is set to GBR and not BEL.
Go to Destination entry and scroll through to page 2 and you should see the option to change the search area.
SatNav defaults to BEL (Belgium) when reset to factory settings and you need to set it to GBR (United Kingdom).

It happens whenever the battery is disconnected for service/ software upgrade time, usually the service guys will rest it back to GBR but the apprentices that are being employed by dealerships don't seem to know this and don't reset it and thebn the owners get bewildered when they cannot input a UK postcode. It's a bit like the secret holder for the manual and service folio - you can always tell when there is a new receptionist on as they phone you up to ask where you left the service booklet!

How do you know what version of the maps you are using?

RE: Sat Nav - Nickj - 12-11-2016 09:51pm

Good question. My mother got me thinking about this as she was talking about updating her Toyota and free upgrades for 5 years.

How do you uograde the evoque dat nav. Is it usb or discs as some older cars I've owned?

RE: Sat Nav - XFullFatTim - 13-11-2016 09:55am

You do it via USB in one of the ports in the centre cubby box and it can take a very long time to upload it too if the comments on another thread are anything to go by. IIRC Philskill did his recently
