Land Rover Experience Stellenbosch - ADZ - 15-09-2012 05:52pm

What a brilliant time was had today. The sun was shining, the birds singing... The only thing missing was the Evoque from the LR Experience centre Sad

Evoque is more capable offraod than the Freelander2 - the TR system is a different set-up

RE: Land Rover Experience Stellenbosch - ADZ - 15-09-2012 06:20pm

Yeah the trainer explained this to us. I am really quite disappointed that their Evoque was out for a service. They were aware that we were Evoque drivers. Anyway, just have to do it again.
He did mention Tim that in order to have the best offroad experience I would need to remove some front bumper? I've never heard anything like that!

RE: Land Rover Experience Stellenbosch - XFullFatTim - 15-09-2012 06:30pm

Neither have I but it could be so for the Dynamic as our front bumper is deeper than the lesser versions.......... ducks to receive incoming flak.
Owners of some of the P38A version RR (aka the Mk2) and some versions of Disco2 also had bits of front spoiler that had to be removed before venturing into the winds and the original Mk1 Vogue LSE the owner had to remove not only the bumper but disconnect the fog lights!
Freelander gives you as good a run offroad as Evoque, hope you enjoyed the day as it is great fun to see what the car is capable of without risking damage to your own car.

It was great. The best part really is that my precious baby was left in the parking lot Smile It is certainly going to take a lot of courage for me to do the same to the Evoque as I did to the Freelander. Only time will tell. Appreciate your input!

Ek kry sommer heimwee as ek daai berge en wynland sien. Daar is net een Bos soos Stellensbosh.

RE: Land Rover Experience Stellenbosch - ADZ - 17-09-2012 07:44am

Ag ja ne Biker. So gaan dit maar. Ek kan my net indink hoe dit moet wees. Bly jy geniet darem my fotos Smile

I love the way that it's in Stellenbosch and even the LRE track can't escape the vines! Smile

RE: Land Rover Experience Stellenbosch - Crimdog - 20-06-2013 10:12pm

I though the the FL2 and evoque had the same traction control system! What's the difference?
XFFT- you ducked so thought I would throw...what makes the prestige "lesser" than the dynamic? It seems that if the dynamic has to remove parts to keep up with the others than it would be the "lesser" car! Wink

Oh btw, great photos ADZ, wish we had a LR experience centre in aus Sad
