RE: Roof rail/bar options

Hello, everyone!

I've tried to order rails for my Evoque, but my dealer said it can't take an order of rails with pano roof.
Can anyone confirm? or Did anyone manage to order it with pano roof?

utter rubbish!!

They fit on easier with the pano roof, with the standard roof you require a separate fitting kit. Either way its only a half an hour job to fit them yourself.

All the instructions are on the LR website.

would you mind taking a picture of the rails ?

I am curious to get a sideview of the damned things.. I am looking at the picture of the white Evoque with the bike on the LR site but it is not a very close view..

Are there any special grooves or something in there or a simple Thule 757 attachment system would work ?

i want a secure and solid system and not break the paint.

Thanks, at least I have some hope now.

Bob

For those who prefer not to have roof rails, here are some pics of my Evoque with the Thule cross bars that fit without roof rails. There is a fitting kit specifically for the Evoque, it seems to work well.

Evoque Fitting Kit: KIT 1663
Feet: Thule Rapid System 754
Cross bars: Thule Square Bars 762 (but there are other styles, eg the "Aerobar")

If you go to Thule.co.uk and choose "Fit Guide" you'll find all the various options.

I've had an order in with Duckworths for months and eventually got a refund as LR couldn't supply! By the way those prices don't include the finishing kit that is required.

Do you happeno to know what part number is the finishing kits? As I've got a set of silver roof rails to install.

Range Rover Evoque Silver Finish Roof Rails Part No.: VPLVR0085 that's what I have Smile

Pure SD4 Auto Black Tech pack, Pano roof, Powered tailgate, Dim rear view, Carpet mats & edging, Parking Assist Aid - Rear camera, Folding mirrors, Front Fogs, Auto Light, Rain sensor, Adaptive Xenons, Heated SW, Keyless entry and Privacy Glass arrived 13 Jan 12 Smile

I have roof rails with my pano roof but there is a special finisher that is needed with the pano option, I think I paid nearly £600 in the end for both bits needed but I can check my invoice.

I ordered them about 2 weeks before delivery and there were no supply problems.

Cheers

Bob

RE: Roof rail/bar options

IMO OEM rails look way better than alternatives. US distributors have parts available but higher than UK prices (unless you get a deal) and with shipping to Europe it would be way HIGH!!!. UK suppliers seem to have them too. Try:
L.R. Centre Limited
