RE: Parking Width

I do understand your guys' predicament.
I searched all over the net for full frontal ... or rather, dead centre frontal pics to get a feeling of how far the mirrors portrude. Bar one or two photos, it seems like the wheel arches are just as wide.. But maybe it is because of the angle from below they took the pics?

RE: Parking Width

O.k. to save any confusion, i have found the width of the Evoque excluding the mirrors entirely....it is 1900mm.
Standard practice is that most cars official widths are recorded excluding the mirrors entirely (just the widest part of the body is recorded in the specs), but with the Evoque, LD released the width taking in the mirrors closed as being the widest part at 1965mm, thus adding an extra 65mm.
Below, is the list now updated to show where the Evoque is truely positioned when measured like the rest of the list...just the widest part of the body, excluding the mirrors entirely

1. Lamborghini Aventador - 2030mm
2. Range Rover - 2009mm
3. Range Rover Sport - 2004mm
4. BMW X5 - 1994mm
5. Rolls Royce Phantom - 1987mm
6. Maybach - 1980mm
7. Ferrari Scaglietti - 1957mm
8. Audi A8 - 1949mm
9. Porsche Panamera - 1931mm
10. Bentley Mulsanne - 1926mm
11. BMW 7 Series - 1902mm
12. Range Rover Evoque - 1900mm
13. Maserati Quattroporte - 1895mm
14. Jaguar XJ - 1894mm
15. Mercedes S Class - 1880mm[/b]

RE: Parking Width

I think you will find the FL2 and Disco 4 are also wider than the evoque, don't appear on the List!!

Thanks benzina.
That's still pretty wide... and wider than anything else in the class.
