RE: Movies playing on a USB stick

From the manual I would say the Evoque won't read H.264 nor MPEG-4/ffmeg, only DivX and XVid. So Handbrake will be useless.

Maybe try Xvid4PSP to see if that will get the videos into the right format?

RE: Movies playing on a USB stick

Question for the techies out there with the Evoque does is matter how the USB stick is formatted for the Evoque to read it? i.e does it have to be FAT 32 or NTFS?

Fat32 will be ok if you dont have a dvd film you are putting on over 4gig in size as FAT32 file size is 4gig max.

The extension AVI doesn't say anything. As I said before, AVI is simply a "container" and whether or not the Evoque will play it, depends on the codec used to encode the contents of the container. This codec can be DivX or Xvid. If you use a different video codec, the file can still be AVI but it won't be played.

Hi VisionR

Can you recommend any software that'll convert to DivX format? My camera takes MOV, and been using Handbrake to convert to H.264 but as you mentioned Handbrake will be no good for DivX is there something else?
