Well, got down to Reading on Wednesday, found my way to the dealer, looked around the yard but couldn't find the Mauritius Blue anywhere. I went inside and asked the woman on reception who went to check, then came back to tell me it had been lent out as a courtesy car but would be back in Friday! Boy, was I annoyed! OK, I hadn't just done a 3.5hr drive just to see it, but the chance to see it had been a factor in making the trip that I could probably have done another time or even avoided. Especially annoying as I had called a couple of day beforehand to check it was going to be there.

Anyway, drove off from the dealers feeling none too happy, just waiting to turn onto the main road, and low and behold there it was being driven back in! A couple of minutes earlier or later and I would have missed it. A quick U-turn in car and mood and I took these photos. And to top it all on the late night 170 mile drive back last night I saw only one Evoque which passed me on the M40 - and guess what colour it was? I guess they're like busses, these Mauritius Blues Cool

Mauritius Blue

Nice pics !!! After seeing your front end pics it really reaffirms with me that the rear end was a rush job on the evoque... It's no where near as we'll designed as the front. It's not edgy enough !

Not so sure about Mauritius with white contrast roof, not my cup of tea I'm afraid. From the front though it looks great and I suppose that's the view that matters in the rear view mirror of the car in front!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Agree with you about the white roof - too much like the Electric Blue Minis. Personally if I go for MB (think I'm 90% decided now) it'll be with blue roof and pano. Might also consider getting the silver/grey grille and other trim of my Pure resprayed gloss black as I think the contrasting black in these pics brings out the brightness of the blue better than the grey will.

RE: Mauritius Blue

I agree, the white is too striking against the slightly moody Red and Blue colours on the Evoque, I'd prefer a Black contrast or body colour roof with those colours, it would tone in with the black Dynamic accents too.

RE: Mauritius Blue

Mauritius is very close to one of my favourite LR colours - Monte Carlo Blue. It runs a close 2nd to Biaritz Blue (BMW had a very similar metallic dark blue that was as popular too at the time)

I ordered Mauritius blue before I saw it in the flesh and i was a little worried... but now I have it it's fantastic and looks unique to all the white and grays out there. I'm so glad i took the big risk because it was well worth it!!! I don't think there is one like mine in my state mayby even the country... yet! Cool

this is a link to one of my threads with pics of my car... hope it helps with deciding!!!
