G.Damn the tailgate!

Phoning LR tomorrow, the close button on the tailgate hasn't worked all week! Before that, its worked around 60'ish% since purchase Mad

Also, the lane warning sensor on the LHS has gone bonkers twice this week. Kept flashing a warning on the message center, but not in a nice way. The whole screen would flash like it was at a rave, software bug perhaps? I had to press Right>Down>Right>OK (or something like that) on the steering wheel menu control as fast as I could to turn off the senors before the warning would pop up again overriding my screen positon.

What is a 'lane warning sensor'?

RE: G.Damn the tailgate!

If the tailgate is lifted manually it has to be closed manually to reset the motor.

Dimitrios, there a some good threads on here about resetting the tailgate, and button reset issues that look to work and are easy to follow.

RE: G.Damn the tailgate!

Evoque owners aren't the only people frustrated by this - I was asked by the village shop keeper who has just taken delivery of a shiny new Q7 V12 TDi (didn't know there was such a thing!) and paid £400 extra for the electric tailgate only to find it looses it's memory very time his wife drives the car! Turns out she needs some tailgate driving lessons!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: G.Damn the tailgate!

Dimitrios - Blind Spot monitoring problem - I had had this too................... I found a large spider's web carefully woven over the sensor on the passenger side

I've got blind spot monitoring, but I haven't noticed anything else they do. So what does lane warning do?

RE: G.Damn the tailgate!

Lane warning sensors detect when you stray out of the lane you are in on the motorway and either sound an alarm or vibrate the seat to wake you up.............................. As far as I know the RRE doesn't have this in it's BLIS system
