Foot Rest

It has been annoying me that there is no purpose designed foot rest, thinking of getting this:

Any thoughts?

RE: Foot Rest

I thought the carpeted foot rest will look pretty scruffy down the road as it wears, so what you have found is a good solution. It is no clear to me how it is retained, does it stick to the carpet?

RE: Foot Rest

The dead pedal in the Evoque is one of those little things that annoy me. Its not wide enough, carpeted & the floor mat does cover/protect it. I would be keen to get this part but I think it might look odd, as the design might not match the other pedals without buying the rest of the pedal set.

Foot Rest

Was looking for something like this. Any thing else out there? Agreed that part of carpets going to wear out. The rubber all weather mats barely cover the driver area. Was disappointed with them after spending so much on them.

RE: Foot Rest

Thanks, good find. I've been looking myself and that's the best one I've come across. My only concern would be how you attach it (I'm a bit reluctant to drill holes in floor).

Arrived 16 December 2011: Prestige SD4 auto 5dr in OG with Adaptive Dynamics, Adaptive Xenons, Surround Cameras, Auto Dimming Rearview, Grey Oak Wood, Spare Wheel and Powered Tailgate.

It'll be interesting to see your comments if fit goes ahead.

RE: Foot Rest

I think the lack of protection for the foot rest is a major design flaw. Replacing the carpet will be ruinously expensive because of the work involved and the number of trim pieces which are designed never to come out and go back in.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR
