Faulty Illuminated Tread Plate

Just noticed tonight that my drivers side illuminated door tread plate is no longer illuminated.
Has anyone else had this issue, only the R is lit.
Apologies for the poor quality pic, no David Bailey.

A warranty job?

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Did your evoque become suddenly very fast when that happened? Might be the first sign of an Evoque R Laughing

On topic: I also think it's a warranty issue

Warrenty issue. Mine is slightly different but confirmed warrenty.

In my case the top 1/2 of all letters (passanger side) are covered (from the underside) in dirt/dust which makes them look burnt out. I "could" take it appart and clean it but there should be no dirt/dust in the first place.

The dealership i use is replacing both driver and passenger side.

RE: Faulty Illuminated Tread Plate

Recently I acquired illuminated tread plates (code VPLVS0079PVJ) to install in my Evoque 2013 (Pure Tech Version – 5 doors). In the authorized dealer a technician said this vehicle model would need an additional part to install the plates, but they don’t know exactly what part would be necessary… They said would contact me later after ask the head office. Does anyone know what additional part is that?

Clovis, welcome to the forum.

Sorry I cannot advise what the part is but I know a man that can tell you - Dan@Duckworths - forum sponsor or Pete@Land Rover Customer Services. You will have to email them as you need 5 posts up before you can use the PM system
