RE: 2014

That's rather stupid. Being a heritage British brand. We are deprived of extras. Hmm

RE: 2014

I can confirm that adaptive cruise is not now part of the 2014MY upgrades, it has also been dropped from Disco4 which was supposed to get it. LR has been fitting adaptive cruise to their cars since 2005 so were one of the first adopters, but it took 2 years from start of production of the RRS for it to become available on the RRS diesel and then it was only on the TDv8 version, the Supercharged has had it as standard since launch in 2005. It was a hugely expensive option on post 2010MY cars and is still only standard on S/C and TDv8 versions of the RRS and some versions of the L405 RR, so Evoque isn't missing out too much. I loved it BUT it did have draw-backs in the winter when salt and snow got caked on the exposed sensor and then it wasn't a case of no adaptive, it was no cruise control whatsoever as there was no "conventional" cruise to revert to.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

*blink* well that makes me think it's cool, but maybe not as worth it as I'd thought.

RE: 2014

I would have it again in the blink of an eye though - LR fits a thing called forward alert to their ACC equipped cars and it saved my life in thick fog by indicating that it had detected something in the fog about 100ft out from the car - although I was driving very slowly I was able to reduce to walking pace and then about 10ft infront of me appeared the grey shape of a stacked up trailer - not a single light on it, being towed at 10mph by an unlighted tractor...................... Forward alert works even if you don't have the ACC engaged and just blinks a light on the dash at you, sort of BLIS from the front!

Ah, ok. That's better, though if it's not coming to 2014 anymore, it's not like I will be able to wait ANOTHER year! Very Happy

RE: 2014

Here in the US, we're getting adaptive cruise, but intelligence pack isn't available. I've ordered ACC for my 2014 Prestige.

ACC is only available for Prestige/Dynamic trim, as I have heard it.
